Since 2002, having adopted an AFNOR ISO 14 001 certified environmental management system, SADE has determined that all its business lines should be committed to sustainable development and the search for alternative constructive solutions to safeguard the environment: reduction in consumption of raw materials; reduction of pollution due to greenhouse gases, noise and dust; minimising the inconvenience caused to residents putting up with unavoidably necessary work.
In the preparation and implementation of its operations, SADE constantly seeks to limit the impact of its worksite on the environment.
In its everyday activities SADE proves its commitment to a systematic implementation of environmental measures. Regular analysis of environmental nuisances, hazards and performance leads, on the one hand, to the research, experimentation and implementation of new processes, methods and risk prevention procedures, and on the other hand to the defining of palliative compensatory measures in the event of inapplicable or ineffective preventive measures.
Since September 1990, SADE has followed a ‘Clean Sites’ policy with the objective of improving its worksite visible quality and taking into consideration the expectations expressed by its clients.
SADE has developed a method and constructed a tool for computing the greenhouse effect gas emissions (GHG) caused by its worksite: Carbon 6, now certified by ARCET NOTATION.
SADE innovates with processes and equipment that reduce its worksite environmental impact: ecological connections, soft aspiration methods and Recyclor are significant examples.

The obtaining of ISO 14 001 certifications is ongoing as well as the OHSAS 18001, CEFRI, UTO, MASE, GEHSE and UIC commitments that bear witness to the company’s sense of social responsibility.
SADE continues its commitment to trenchless operations: in 2011, 97% of connections were carried out with such trenchless techniques.
By way of example, the results of the Greater Paris Area Regional Division's operations measured over 2011 demonstrate the significant impact of an active approach as regards the reduction of the worksite environmental footprint.
