To avoid any flooding of the industrial wasteland, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation and runs alongside this drain, MEL decided to build an underground system and a siphon capable of handling flows of up to 30m<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\/s, i.e. 108,000m<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\/h.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008bcb\"><b>What technical solutions were selected?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Two different ones on the banks and three under the canal. A connection chamber and a grit chamber were built at the output of the Le Trichon sewer main: two parallel \u00d83,000mm GRP pipes installed at an average depth of 4m stretching from these chambers along a 75m section of the canal. These lead to a second chamber, the starting point for a double siphon, also \u00d83,000mm GRP, 50m long, running under the canal bed at an average depth of 10m. Two other pipes, also parallel and with the same diameter, stretch 52m from the double siphon input chamber all the way to a new chamber for connection to the L\u2019Espierre sewer main. Under the canal, a \u00d8600mm, GRP pipe, parallel to the double siphon, was also installed: this handles the dry weather flow (900m<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\/h) and prevents sedimentation in the main siphon.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #008bcb\"><b>Who does what?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This large-scale worksite was entrusted by MEL to the BOUYGUES\/SADE\/CLAISSE Environnement consortium, with each company showcasing its talents: SADE Group both supplying, laying and coating pipes (Arras Regional Division), and building the connection chambers (CLAISSE Environnement). <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/12&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;8377&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1610712662079{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_message message_box_style=&#8221;solid&#8221; style=&#8221;square&#8221; message_box_color=&#8221;white&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1610959717171{margin-top: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;background-color: #008bcb !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ffffff\"><b>Key data<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 3 months to install 44 \u00d83,000mm GRP tubes and elbows and 10 \u00d8600mm GRP tubes based on a layout meeting the requirements for reinforcement of the excavation works<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 11t for each \u00d83,000mm, 10m GRP tube, 14t for the 13m tubes under the canal<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 7 months to build 5 civil engineering structures (4 chambers and 1 grit chamber)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 Average civil engineering structure size: 8m wide, 10m long and 5m deep<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2022 56t of reinforcement and 700m\u00b3 of concrete were used<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0de b\u00e9ton mis en \u0153uvre<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_message][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<!-- WPMSNGI:: This input got made by wpms-network-global-inserts It is a WordPress Plugin, you will find your Plugins @ www.wordpress.org ...
