{"id":11278,"date":"2021-09-07T14:08:52","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T12:08:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/?p=11278"},"modified":"2023-08-10T14:12:25","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T12:12:25","slug":"a-multi-network-multi-technique-project-for-snf-the-specialist-in-polymers-for-the-petrochemical-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/en\/blog\/geography\/africa-en\/a-multi-network-multi-technique-project-for-snf-the-specialist-in-polymers-for-the-petrochemical-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"A multi-network, multi-technique project for SNF, the specialist in polymers for the petrochemical sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1691669400573{margin-right: 30px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #999999;\"><strong>In the wake of the COVID pandemic, SNF, the flagship of France\u2019s chemical industry, reviewed its economic approach to polymer production.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It turned to greener production, geared towards cardboard manufacturers, with new water-soluble polymers which help to reduce raw material needs.<\/p>\n<p>Extension works were thus carried out to its plant in Dunkirk port, with the building of a first production unit for these new polymers.<\/p>\n<p>The Hauts-de-France RD (Dunkirk Agency) laid the underground networks on the site, which, given the constraint of the water table, consisted in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">45,600m\u00b3 of excavation works<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of more than 4km of stormwater network (315mm-diameter PVC CR8 up to DN 2 000 135A concrete) with 34 special junction facilities<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of an industrial water residue network in GRP (400mm-diameter DN200) along 90m<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of industrial networks for purge water (800m of DN 315 CR16 PVC)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of a discharge network in HDPE (570m of 110mm-diameter DN 63)<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of industrial and water supply networks<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Laying of electrical (316 priming pipes) and lighting networks<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Building of a stormwater outfall in reinforced concrete, poured on site<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Building of specific facilities such as flushing units, Venturi flumes and valve chambers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of a parallel pipeline order, another SADE team created the wastewater drainage network joining the Gravelines WWTP.
