Works were co-contracted by the local SADE agency and DPSM, our Toulouse-based subsidiary and rehabilitation expert.<\/strong><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;11377&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;slideInLeft&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;11380&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1638516614407{margin-top: 25px !important;margin-right: 30px !important;margin-left: 0px !important;}&#8221;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;11438&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1638520477392{margin-top: 30px !important;margin-right: 30px !important;}&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Double, rehabilitate and separate<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along around 450m on Avenue des Barques, the task was to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rehabilitate a T180 ovoid<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Build a stormwater collector in parallel (800mm-diameter concrete)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create\/modify all branch connections to separate stormwater and wastewater drainage along most of this section<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DPSM teams took care of the rehabilitation, while the Poitiers-Metz RD, and more specifically the Saint-Etienne branch (Montagny Agency), saw to the creation of the new collector, at 2.5m to 4.5m deep, with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ad hoc<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> branch connections.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Disorders to be repaired in order<\/h2>\n<p>The existing ovoid, a mechanically structuring element, presented numerous leakage points, due to cracks or embedded roots, which all had to be methodically dealt with.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #008bcb;\">Step one: securing<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to its drying out by 200m\u00b3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\/hour pumping and rerouting mounted in corbelling, this segment of the combined collector, highly sensitive to rising stormwater, was secured by 2 automated water-level control points with an alarm. In addition, a subscription to the French meteorological alert service and close contact with the operators of an upstream dam were put in place. Such precautions are useful all year round, and more particularly during the works last summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #008bcb;\">Step two: rehabilitation<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The DPSM team then proceeded to the actual rehabilitation of the ovoid, i.e.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repairs to 207 specific points by purging, followed by wet spraying of H<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S-resistant mortar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pouring of an apron all along the section, and repairs to the right and left legs of the structure at a height of 50cm with the same mortar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Waterproofing of the facility and branch connections<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The birth of a co-contract<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the call for tender was launched by the local authority, and given the specificity of the required rehabilitation operations, the Poitiers-Metz RD naturally opted to co-contract this order with DPSM, for its successful outcome.
