But that doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s lost its touch, and it\u2019s now back with a bang with this valuable contract won by the Argenteuil Agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The contract in brief<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As head of the consortium, SADE won Package 2, along with its<\/span><b> partners SETHA and INEO<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (ENGIE\u2019s electrical engineering subsidiary). It covers <\/span><b>hydraulic equipment, electricity, processes, ventilation and automation.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2>Works<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The works, which will last 39 months, are set to begin next spring following the preparatory phase, and will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Replacement of the <\/span><b>treatment equipment <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0(100% SADE): <\/span><b>3 identical decanters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>4 primary agitators<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>4 secondary agitators<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> each, one of which also includes 4 sludge removal scrapers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Replacement of the<\/span><b> decantation unit\u2019s decanted water and discharge pipes<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (50% SADE &#8211; 50% SETHA)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The works will be carried out in phases<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to guarantee service continuity, <\/span><b>as the plant cannot be fully shut down for this length of time. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To ensure everything goes smoothly,<\/span><b> the decanters will be shut down section by section and the operator will painstakingly lock and tag out each section for a precise, firm period<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Replacing the equipment (including the agitators and scrapers) will be particularly tough. Its handling will require <\/span><b>the existing equipment to be removed, working to a precise schedule. To meet the growing needs of an increasingly urbanised region, <\/span><b>its daily production capacity was increased to 340,000m<\/b><b>3<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in 1999 with the creation of a new production section: the membrane section. Given their specific characteristics (higher dissolved organic matter content), the waters of the River Oise actually require specially advanced treatment.
