{"id":6261,"date":"2021-01-11T08:25:21","date_gmt":"2021-01-11T07:25:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/?p=6261"},"modified":"2021-01-11T08:25:21","modified_gmt":"2021-01-11T07:25:21","slug":"the-roboconduct-hydraulic-clamp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/en\/blog\/csr-en\/the-roboconduct-hydraulic-clamp\/","title":{"rendered":"The Roboconduct hydraulic clamp"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1610349855950{margin-right: 20px !important;}&#8221;]<strong><span style=\"color: #999999\">It improves team safety and reduces excavated material\/backfilling volumes on your worksites.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>How it came about<\/h2>\n<p>Late 2017 \u2013 Specifications drawn up and finalised: designing a hydraulic clamp capable of laying cast-iron drinking water pipes of up to \u01fe300 in narrow trenches.<\/p>\n<p>2018 \u2013 Manufacturing of a prototype, which was then equipped with an Oilquick hydraulic adapter plate to automatically couple it to a mechanical excavator.<\/p>\n<p>2019 \u2013 Testing of the clamp on 2 worksites in the Angers region by SADE Group teams: a worksite to lay a 160 PVC pipe in a rural setting, followed by a worksite to lay a \u01fe150 cast-iron pipe in an urban setting, in Angers itself.<\/p>\n<h2>Approval of the tool<\/h2>\n<p>These 2 tests confirmed that this tool successfully met our initial expectations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>increasing on-site security: this clamp allows laying of pipes without the layer having to descend into the trench, significantly reducing risks of falls, burial and MSDs due to poor posture;<\/li>\n<li>reducing the volume of excavated material\/backfilling: this worksite approaches reduces the width of trenches and, as a result, the volume of excavated material\/backfilling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Areas for improvement are currently being assessed.<\/p>\n<h2>And today<\/h2>\n<p>Roboconduct version 2.0 is in development.
