Restoration of the castle complex\u201d.<br \/>\nIts metalwork\/painting package reflects the scale of the restored structures, featuring as it does 1 grate, 14 doors, 13 windows, 42m of floor-mounted railings, 62m of wall-mounted handrails, and 50m of floor-mounted handrails.<\/p>\n<h2>Technology and tradition<\/h2>\n<p>CLAISSE Environnement is manufacturing 100% of these parts in its Bailleul metalworks, before installing them all. They are manufactured in the traditional way and the samples for approval will be installed on site in mid-July. Firstly, a twin measurement campaign was organised, combining both 3D scanning of the site by SIng (26 points inside and out) and traditional methods, particularly using jigs. A welcome combination of techniques in a building where right angles are few and far between.<\/p>\n<h2>Months of work<\/h2>\n<p>After the samples are approved, professionals from the Bailleul workshop will manufacture all the parts over 4 to 5 months to be installed on this historical site in early 2021. So watch this space.<\/p>\n<h2>A closer look at 3D scanning<\/h2>\n<p>This technology measures the positioning, in a system of coordinates, of a multitude of points on the surface of an object. This point cloud is digitally processed to extrapolate the shape and size of the object.
