{"id":8087,"date":"2020-12-04T08:38:37","date_gmt":"2020-12-04T07:38:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/?p=8087"},"modified":"2021-05-27T14:17:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T12:17:09","slug":"sade-on-a-not-so-gentle-slope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sade-cgth.fr\/en\/blog\/geography\/africa-en\/sade-on-a-not-so-gentle-slope\/","title":{"rendered":"SADE on a (not so gentle) slope!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1611733013305{margin-right: 20px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #999999;\"><strong>The town of Beauvais is reinforcing one of its main clear wells supplying the town centre.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Managed by the Beauvais Agency (Arras Regional Division) in collaboration with Veolia, this worksite involves the reinforcement of the connection of a well, located at the top of a slope, to the catchment wells and distribution system set up downhill.<\/p>\n<p>Technically speaking, it consists of the construction on the side of a slope on 30\u00b0-gradient (i.e. 60%) terrain over a 30m stretch, of two parallel underground cast-iron \u00f8400 pipes, the first to supply and the second to distribute.<\/p>\n<h2>A complex worksite<\/h2>\n<p>The worksite was prepared and executed methodically, including night-time operations, to guarantee the highest possible service continuity for this strategic municipal well.<\/p>\n<p>The worksite was made more complex still by the presence of a concrete slab in line with the well: an obstacle partially demolished using expansive mortar with the authorisation of a civil engineering expert.<\/p>\n<p>This new hydraulic structure now reinforces the single pipe, which is also a \u00f8400 cast iron pipe and until now fulfilled a dual supply \/ distribution role.
