In late 2020, SETHA\u2019s Solutions & Services Department won a call for tender of a new kind. A contract involving water and services, but with a new customer, the City of Paris Real Estate Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spotlight on the order<\/h2>\n

1st<\/sup> February 2021 saw the first intervention by SETHA, which has signed a four-year contract to oversee preventative and remedial maintenance of the air-ejector systems for buildings belonging to the City of Paris:<\/p>\n

70 sites, 250 installations, 130 air ejectors, 120 compressors<\/strong><\/p>\n

Historical background\u2026<\/h2>\n

In the early 20<\/span>th<\/span> century, prior to the electrification of Paris, compressed air was the only power supply capable of serving the city\u2019s booming industrial network. The sewage network, which by then covered almost all the streets of Paris, was thus equipped with a wastewater lifting system using air-ejectors powered by compressed air. This provided the most reliable solution in terms of energy supply where traditional pumps were not effective enough in the disposal of wastewater.<\/span><\/p>\n

These air ejectors were installed in prestigious locations such as the Crillon, George V, Lido, BHV, Galeries Lafayette, the Assembl\u00e9e Nationale or the Banque de France and in many other Parisian buildings, including those belonging to the city authority.<\/span><\/p>\n

At present, many of these facilities are reaching the end of their life-cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Synergy on all levels\u2026<\/h2>\n

Total synergy within the SADE Group has made the roll-out and organisation of this new order possible. SETHA will handle on-site commissioning and adjustment of equipment manufactured by CLAISSE Environnement, the sub-contractor and partner of the operation.<\/span><\/p>\n
