Year after year, drinking water, sewerage and industrial fluids networks degrade under the effect of many factors. Whether these are man entry or non-man entry networks, their rehabilitation constitutes a tailor-made and cost-effective technical solution as an alternative to traditional methods of intervention.
Rehabilitation consists of internally reconditioning a degraded drinking water, sewerage or industrial fluid network, by localised (repair) or continuous treatment (renovation). A network’s rehabilitation contributes to the restoration of its optimum operational conditions.

SADE implements numerous rehabilitation processes to repair most of the damage suffered by networks, at a cost generally lower than that of trench-type working.
Slip lining consists of inserting a new duct into the pipe or line to be rehabilitated. SADE employs several types of tubing:
The continuous cured-in-place pipe process consists of inserting and applying against the walls of the pipe to be rehabilitated a flexible structure impregnated with resin which hardens upon polymerisation.
CIPP lining causes only a very low cross-sectional reduction while providing an excellent mechanical hold and also high hydraulic performance.
Installation of continuous cured-in-place pipe is quick and has limited impact on the environment. RETROFLEX and SAERTEX technologies comply with quality mark NF 390 and guarantee compliance with Standard NF 13566-4.
Cross-sections treated range from Ø 150mm to Ø 1,250mm.
FLEXOJOINT® lining is a partial lining that consists of bonding onto the defective or damaged area of the existing pipe wall a resin-impregnated flexible cuff or sleeve that becomes rigid upon polymerisation.
Implementing the FLEXOJOINT® process is quick and only requires access to manholes.
Cross-sections treated range from Ø 150mm to Ø 2,500mm, circular or oval.
Flexible lining of gravity networks enables rehabilitation of gravity pipe of Ø 60mm to Ø 400mm for special cases as it has the capacity to follow elbows, diameter changes and branch connections.
The multipurpose robot allows milling, consolidation plugging or tapping reconditioning in non-man entry gravity pipe of Ø 150mm to Ø 800mm.
This process consists of rehabilitating circular or square manholes by centrifugal spraying of special mortars suitable for the considered environment. It can be applied up to a height of 15 metres for manholes, boxes and stations of Ø 500mm to Ø 1,500mm.
Its application is quick with a small worksite footprint.
Sprayed coatings are applied to protect the structure of networks against chemical etching, or main sewers with steep slopes or high flow rates and whose coatings are similarly abraded.
Shotcrete (sprayed concrete) with reinforcement armatures is proposed where serious defects or damage affect sewage works (cracking, collapse, etc).
These techniques require only a small worksite footprint and use existing access points such as manholes or hatches.
Intended for main sewers rehabilitation, grouts provide stabilisation of the works foundations and ensure good earth/masonry contact and restoration of the junction between masonry blocks.
SADE is able to implement all grouting techniques by using innovative equipment and processes: automated grout production, computer-assisted control of the grout plant, pressure sensors in the hose nozzles.
Installing prefabricated shells (HDPE, GRP, etc) is another solution for the renewal of mains sewers.
SADE can handle all installation techniques for the various types of shells in either partial or total cross-section.
These techniques allow extensive rehabilitations with a small surface footprint and using existing access points.
The AMEX® process allows joint sealing for any inspectable duct from 600mm diameter upwards.
SADE has already treated more than 3,000 kilometres of pipes with this process which can be used on both gravity and pressurised networks.
Implementation of this process is quick, economical and has a small footprint.
