For the last 5 years, the project to supply drinking water to the towns of Sinfra and Ganoa has been emblematic for the SADE Group, and not just in the Ivory Coast!
It is now nearing completion. After the 20,000m³/day treatment plant commissioning phase managed by teams from SIng, Franzetti Ivory Coast rinsed 120km of pipes from the plant to the intermediate uptake plant in Sinfra, then all the way to the town of Gagnoa.
The pipes are currently being disinfected, in collaboration with the future operator, SODECI (Société de Distribution d’Eau de Côte d’Ivoire, i.e. Ivory Coast Water Distribution Company). Even though the plant has not yet been acceptance-tested by ONEP (Office National de l’Eau Potable, i.e. Ivory Coast National Office for Drinking Water), SADE set itself the challenge of providing drinking water to Gagnoa, even during this troubled period as the coronavirus spread across the country.
“We hope the plant will be commissioned just after Easter following provisional acceptance by the client”, underlines Didier JOINNAULT (Project Manager).
Hats off to the whole team involved on this project in Paris, Bucharest, Abidjan and Gagnoa, which further confirms the extent to which synergy plays a part in achieving success. A special shout out to the engineers present on site from SIng who showed great composure and professionalism in a difficult working environment over the last three weeks.
Just another illustration of the usefulness of SADE’s work for local people.
Proud to be a pro at SADE Group!
