SADE Special Works connects Brittany!

27 August 2020
Intervention in the framework of a colossal project for GRT Gaz. Due for commissioning in 2021, the Landivisiau natural gas-fired combined cycle power station will strengthen the security of electricity supply in Brittany. At present, the region produces only 10% to 15% of the electricity it consumes and is therefore highly dependent on its neighbours. Discover the video of the Landivisiau site To enable its connection to the natural gas supply distribution network, GRT Gaz must lay 22km of 400mm-diameter gas pipeline across the Finistère region. The new network will cross some ten municipalities, starting… +

With the construction of a 7.7km section of this 20km-long heating network, SADE is playing a big part in this environmentally-responsible project. Since 2017, Covalys has operated the energy recovery centre in Halluin, a town located in the Greater Lille area. Under the terms of its outsourcing contract, Covalys began building work on a major energy recovery centre extension: a 20km heat distribution network, including a 7.7km section built by SADE. The aim of this project is crystal clear: to drastically reduce overflows of wastewater from Paris’ wastewater treatment systems during rainy weather to ultimately improve the quality of the waters of the River Seine. Officially announced only very recently, the contract was awarded to a consortium of 5 firms by… +

When the West rides to Belgium’s rescue…

6 July 2020
Further proof that “united we stand, divided we fall”, and that SADE Group synergies are more than mere words! In spring 2019, Bruno KEMPT, then working in Brussels, was looking for a team to manage a wastewater treatment worksite in the very heart of Brussels. Five staff from the Nantes Agency signed up for 3 months to assist our Belgian allies. In mid-May 2020, this first technical worksite led to a second: the same team hit the road again to work on a second project involving the same issues: major depth, large diameter,… +

The aim of this dewatering system is to transport water from the water table lowering system set up on a gigantic urban redevelopment site in Asnières-sur-Seine, not far from the River Seine (of course), a further 390m to join a wastewater system operated by SEVESC. An overhead system This gravity system features 12m steel tubes (Ø 300 and 400) installed at an average height of 4.5m on hangers designed by SADE Ingénierie. SADE Ecuador encourages recycling

16 April 2020
Aim: making teams aware of the environment. Action: recycling competition. Result: 526kg of plastic collected by 142 staff. A closer look at Ecuador and the city of Guayaquil where our leak repair teams are hard at work despite the current full lockdown and curfew… With more than 500 cases of coronavirus in the country, the Ecuadorian government declared a nationwide state of emergency on 16 March, imposing a full lockdown, travel restrictions and a strict curfew between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Shock information campaigns were also organised to raise public awareness. Interagua (Veolia), which is tasked with guaranteeing the city of Guayaquil’s continuous drinking water supply, required SADE to be more operational than ever on its 2… +

In Senegal, wrap-up on KMS 3 package 7!

14 January 2020
The teams recently successfully completed pressure testing, after two years of hard work. In September 2013, after the Dakar region was hit by a serious water supply crisis, the Senegalese water authority launched a major programme of works to secure Dakar’s key water supply facilities. This included the KMS 3 project. Between August 2017 and December 2019, SADE Senegal built 32 of the 213 kilometres linking the new Keur Momar Sarr drinking water production plant to Dakar. SADE knows Portuguese industrialists well…

18 November 2019
Did you know that SADE Portugal was created to meet the needs of an industrial client? In 1998, chemicals manufacturer Borealis was looking for a company capable of carrying out swage lining (now TubOcontact) work on its Sines site. SADE Special Works successfully saw this project through. A connection had been made, and over the following months this led to the creation of SADE’s branch in Portugal. SADE Portugal and REPSOL Starting in 1999, SADE Portugal further developed its relationship with this client. And when Borealis was taken over by REPSOL in 2002, SADE was still on board, taking on… +

Social project in Ecuador for Interagua

A mobile tanker-based drinking water supply centre in a disadvantaged area. In Guayaquil, the Monte Sinai district is home to poor people from all over the country. It has no water supply or wastewater treatment network. To distribute drinking water, Interagua is launching a so-called “social” project to create a mobile tanker-based drinking water supply centre. SADE Ecuador will design and build the distribution site, a sort of service station featuring 3 supply points: roads and utilities for trucks, offices, fencing, service pipe connections and a supply pipeline (Ø400mm), etc. Launch of the project by Frédéric CERTAIN, Veolia Ecuador General… +
